Elixir Côtes de Provence Rosé 2014

Côtes de Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceIn 1964, eight wine producers banded together to create the Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu'île de Saint-Tropez (Master Vine Growers of the Saint-Tropez Peninsula). They were joined a few years later by the vine growers of Saint-Roch-les-Vignes à Cuers. Today the association produces 2.5 million bottles of AOP Côtes de Provence and Vins de Pays des Portes de la Méditerranée wines - so they know what they're doing. Bright, stony and dry, this whisper pink hued Côtes de Provence Rosé carries a whisper of berry fruit across the crisp palate. Light florals, subtle salted strawberries and mandarin, brisk pink grapefruit laced acidity and a stony base to anchor it all. Pour this delicate and lean cinsault / grenache blend liberally this summer, especially with local prawns.Tasted: 22 July 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
