Sage Hills Vineyard Small Lot Pinot Noir 2013

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom organically farmed grapes in Summerland comes this earthy, branch-y and herbal pinot noir. Light wood smoke and Bing cherry join the herbaceous nose, and are mirrored on the palate, along with toasted wood, rhubarb, sour cherry, beets and forest moss. Though the palate is silky, the whole comes across as rather disjointed - and disappointing for the premium price. I recommend pouring with cedar planked salmon and roasted beets for best results.Tasted: 29 May 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
