Le Vieux Pin Syrah Cuvée Violette 2013
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaViolette is very high quality, entry level syrah, that in 2013, co-fermented with one percent of roussanne. The nose is very complex with a fabulous floral nose quite an achievement in a year where rains and rot were problems. The silky textures invite you to drink it as does the peppery cherry fruit but the acidity comes through to freshen the finish. As suggested you can drink this now or over the next five years.
