The Ned Pinot Gris 2013
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandYou may not think of pinot gris and New Zealand in the same breath, and while the grape isn't nearly as popular as sauvignon blanc, it is produced in reasonable quantity, and The Ned is the biggest selling gris in NZ. This light, pale blush hue shows ripe peach, nectarine, yellow apple and tropical flowers, in a full bodied, generous style. Spice, lemon drop and petals close out the finish. Power over delicacy here, and a worthy pour to fragrant green curries or shellfish.Tasted: 18 April 2015Tasted by: Prices:BC | $16.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Authentic Wines and Spirits |
