Terravista Fandango Albariño Verdejo 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Senka Tennant launched this unusual albariño/verdejo blend last year and year two is equally tasty. It's a one of kind blend in Canada but more important we this as a possible game changer for the Okanagan. We can make a wine that is more about Naramata on a warm summer's day than grapes and oak. Like last year Fandango has a sense of electricity and freshness, juicy minerality and a subtle floral, melon and fresh sage aromas and flavours. Your summer charcuterie plate has its match. Comically this wine is labelled Product of Canada, because the grape varieties are not yet VQA approved. They are awaiting some sort of provincial cabinet blessing. Personally I would plaster Naramata all over the label and rightfully claim it as the origin of the grapes and the estate and the winemaking because Product of Canada just doesn't do the wine or its price justice.Tasted: 03 May 2013Tasted by: Prices:
