Chateau Latour 2010

Pauillac, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceFor many this was the wine of the tasting and while I‘ll admit it was excellent it may have suffered by its placement after the intensely rich Harlan. The blend is 90.5% cabernet sauvignon mixed with 9.5% merlot and .5% petit verdot. This has all the freshness and minerality you could want in a Bordeaux along with the classic blackberry, cassis, coffee lead pencil and spice. Surprisingly silky and round for Latour and certainly destined to improve in the bottle over the next decade. Should be ready by 2020 and hold through 3035.
