Spierhead Pinot Noir 2013
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSpierhead has quietly moved into the BC pinot noir game working in the prime East Kelowna region where cooler temperatures play a significant role in keeping the fruit fresh and bright. The regular or entry level pinot sets the tone for the property with its silky tannins and spicy fruits. It does spend ten months in French oak and you feel a bit of that sitting on the wine along with some vanilla but overall it remains a pretty good effort that is tracking down the right path. Try this with a favourite salmon dish.Tasted: 15 February 2015Tasted by: Prices:BC | $24.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
