JoieFarm Chardonnay Un-Oaked (ii) 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaJoieFarm was one of the first in Okanagan to put "unoaked" on their chardonnay label, spurning a wave of followers with their initial success. This opens with a leesy nuttiness, soybean, a hint of plastic and tinned pineapple. The fuller palate shows cloudy lees, peanuts, pear skin, lemon pudding and white peach, finishing with a baked apple heft and herbal bitterness At 14.2 percent alcohol, this is no crisp and lean unoaked chardonnay.Tasted: 23 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:
