Haywire Chardonnay Canyonview Vineyard Grey Label 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClassic Haywire on the nose smelling of freshly mortar-ed Okanagan scrub in a stone pestle. Sage and yellow fruits predominate on its highly aromatic nose with a hint of mint. The palate is equally intriguing more creamy pear and apple flavours with a touch of guava in the finish. It's wild fermented and there is no oak involved - or what we call an Alberto Antonini intervention of well, nothing. In short it's all Canyonview. The New Okanagan.
