British Columbia, CanadaCreamy and gentle on the palate, with fine grated spice and delicate florals through the finish, I wasn't surprised to discover there is 6 percent pinot gris splashed in this chardonnay - it's a charmer. Two months of fermentation split between stainless, foudre and oak barrels lends layers of complexity from bright vibrant green apple to spiced, subtle wood. Anjou pear, mild pineapple, lemon peel, meadow, herbs and nutmeg reveal as the glass warms up, finishing with lingering potent rasped nutmeg spice. Fantastic value for price - pair with crab, scallops or pumpkin ricotta ravioli.Tasted: 13 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:

British Columbia, CanadaIt's been a while since we have seen a new chardonnay release from CedarCreek. The 2012 has about six percent pinot gris in the blend. It ferments for two months in a mix of steel, foudre & oak and then spends eleven months on its lees. The oak is subtle and supports the texture without killing the ripe, tropical fruit notes that gush from the glass mixed with grass and citrus notes. Refreshing stylish, light, bright and mineral. The new Okanagan. A perfect chardonnay for BC seafood. Some 80 percent of the wine is now wild fermented tying it much closer to the site and its northern Okanagan home. A winner. Back up the truck. Great value.Tasted: 07 June 2014Tasted by: Prices:
