CedarCreek Chardonnay 2014
British Columbia, CanadaThis oaked chardonnay, their estate, is an "entry level" tier, though it certainly doesn't present that way. The oak here, though evident, is well handled, and provides a good support for the fresh, potent orchard fruit. This was fermented in stainless steel, foudre (2250L) and traditional French oak barrels. Cream, ripe pear, nectarine, white peach and lemon peel are set against the round mouthfeel of that wood and finish slightly warm.
