C.C. Jentsch Syrah 2012
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe syrah is crushed to tank and co-fermented with 6 per cent viognier followed by a 7 day cold soak. The style is light and floral with the characteristic meaty/animal syrah grape character. The attack is juicy and supple with a peppery palate marked by floral undertones and some tomato leaf, vanilla and elevated acidity pushing through the finish. Balanced and well made. Retasted twice since and it is progressing well in bottle and weight and style.Tasted: 30 June 2014Tasted by: Prices:BC | $29.90 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
