Haywire Lunar New Year White 2013
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother limited release to celebrate the Lunar (Chinese) New Year for 2015. Thankfully there is no sheep notes in the nose. The blend is an aromatic mix of gewürztraminer, chardonnay and viognier that as it happens pairs well with most Asian cuisine. The red label doesn’t hurt its chances either. Expect a fragrant lifted nose of rosewater, melons and pears with pungent Alsace, oily, yellow fruit flavours that definitely finish off-dry, which means somewhat sweet with a touch of resin.
