Dodgy Bros Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon Petit Verdot 2012

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaHailing from Winnipeg and a friend to many in the Canadian wine industry still, Wes and his family have made McLaren Vale their home since 2008. This structured red opens quietly, with subtle graphite, pencil notes. In contrast the palate is quite concentrated with dense fruit, cassis and herbal thorns, brightened with juicy freshness. Tannins are fine and slightly gritty, and the finish lingering with eucalyptus. This dense wine swiftly gobbles up the 50 percent new French oak, making the balancing act look easy. Pour now (alongside herb grilled lamb or hearty sausages) or hold for 5+ years. Tasted: 23 January 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
