Rich, ripe, round and suave yet with some mid-palate tightness and light tannins. Waxy, black berry jam, smoky, bacon, meaty, kirsch, licorice, vanilla and tobacco flavours. Good fruit, length and intensity with fresh acidity but hot on the finish. Needs 2-4 years but very solid.
