Howling Bluff SQ Sauvignon Blanc Sémillon Summa Quies 2013
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe mix is roughly 85/15 sauvignon blanc/sémillon and the style is attractive. It tastes a bit riper (sweeter) this year compared to the 2012 with lots of baked apple and honey throughout. The attack is fresh with light herbaceous undertones, definite mid-palate sweetness balanced by tangy, citrus, tropical fruit character that persists into the finish. C hill this wine down and serve it with any spicy curry or pan Asian dishes, if there is any wine left before the food arrives.
