Howling Bluff SQ Sauvignon Blanc Sémillon Summa Quies 2012
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe mix is 85/15 sauvignon blanc/sémillon and you sense the sauvignon upfront on the nose thanks to its pungent, passion fruit and kiwi aromas with bits of baked apple and honey. The attack is fresh with some mid-palate sweetness balanced off by some tangy orange, grassy, citrus lemon notes. Exotic and interesting, a wines first duty and capable of ageing perhaps its second job. A wonderful food style for substantial menu items.
