Tuscany, ItalyThe 2010 is somewhat quiet on the nose if anything more earth and mushroom less fragrant red fruits. The palate is a mix of dried cherry and dried herbs with flecks of tobacco. A good but not great year for this label. Serve with grilled meats. The Riserva Ducale mixes 80 per cent sangiovese with 20 per cent cabernet sauvignon and merlot.
