Tidal Bay by Benjamin Bridge 2013

Gaspereau Valley, Nova Scotia, CanadaTidal Bay is an appellation not a brand. It's really a three-part story. All grapes must be from NS, the prime candidates are L'Acadie Blanc, Seyval, Vidal and Geisenheim 318. The yields must average 3 tonnes per acre they are to be pressed with a bladder or basket press. There can be no more than 20% new oak in the wine with alcohol required in 9.5% to 11% range. The style is fresh and dry with juicy, cooked apple aromas and flavours. Simple clean style that works with a variety of seafood, vegetarian and white meats. Good wine, crazy price.Tasted: 04 August 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
