River Stone Stones Throw 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRiver Stone is tiny estate winery sited just south of McIntyre Bluff in the Okanagan Valley. Merlot malbec and cabernet sauvignon make up the blend from sites that within a stone's throw of each other. There is plenty of spicy ripe fruit here with a wallop of French oak for good measure. The palate is warm, long and smooth with fairly intense savoury notes in the finish. Solid if formulaic red.
