Pierre Amadieu Domaine Grand Romane Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2012

Gigondas, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceMade from 60-year old, 100 percent clairette vines grown at 400m above sea level. The wine is age in new French oak barrels and left on its lies for 6 months. Expect a fresh style white with a cool green apple skin nose with floral undertones and complex nutty pear fruit flavours. The wine is not overly expressive but well crafted and built to spend extra time in the bottle. The combination of freshness and balance makes it very attractive. Grilled white fish or young goat cheese would be a fine match. Tasted: 08 June 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
