Haywire Pinot Gris Switchback Vineyard Raised in Concrete 2012

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWaxy, lime, pea shoot, grassy, light honey and slate aromas with a whiff of matchstick. Fresh, round, creamy palate with lees, slate, floral, lime, grassy, green apple skin flavours and a light nutty, leesy finish. Good texture and delicacy if a bit tart at the end. Needs a year to integrate the wild ferment and lees characters with the acidity. This wine is on a different tract where site will soon overtake the grape. Try this with simply-prepared, fresh-grilled fish. Fermented in egg-shaped concrete tanks.Tasted: 09 June 2014Tasted by: Prices:
