Peter Lehmann H&V Riesling 2013
Eden Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLehmann makes four very tasty rieslings. The Hill and Valley series comes out of the cooler reaches of the Eden Valley. Oyster shells, minerality and salty seashore notes jump from the glass. This is definitely cool climate with a strikingly pure lime character, lively acidity and freshness throughout. The fruit is sourced from Terry and Jan Riley's single-vineyard site that sits on the cool eastern slopes of Eden Valley at some 380m above sea level. Very food-friendly this will easily hold for more than decade or two under screwcap.
