Signorello Seta 2011
Napa Valley, California, United StatesAny wine with more sémillon than sauvignon blanc in the mix will never be an easy sell in America but I'm guessing Ray Signorello is okay with that. At 63/38 the sémillon sets the tone with its rich figgy underbelly before the sauvignon freshens the palate. Gooseberry, grapefruit and honey mix seamlessly with the oak and vanilla to produce a delicious Bordeaux-style white that finishes long with nutty, mineral notes. Simply prepared fish dishes in a cream sauce would be an excellent match.Tasted: 22 December 2013Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $50.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
