Five Vineyards by Mission Hill Pinot Noir 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs the pinot noir program blossoms at Mission Hill, thanks to some maturing sites in cool Naramata and even cooler Kelowna, the ladder of pinot noir fruit continues to strengthen. The FV series is now making very solid pinot with only 34 percent of the fruit coming out of the south. Look for round mouth-filling red fruit flavours that express what is the true varietal nature of pinot noir. Savoury notes of black teas, cherries, plums and celery salt mark its soft, round palate. Impressive for $20. Think about serving this with fresh wild salmon, roasted duck, creamy cheeses and or grilled pork.Tasted: 10 November 2013Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:AB | $17.00 | 750ml | private wine shop |
