Altesino Rosso Toscana 2010

Tuscany, ItalyRosso di Altesino is an 80/20 split of sangiovese mixed with 20 percent merlot and cabernet sauvignon that like everything is hand-picked from estate vineyards. This is made to drink young or as soon as it is released some nine to twelve months after vintage which includes three months in bottle. The merlot and cabernet temper the natural acidity and elegance of the sangiovese making it a little rounder and softer in its youth. Love the spicy, savoury, plummy fruit and the Altesino balance and harmony. Drink now with spaghetti Bolognese, stuffed roasted game hen or artisanal sausages.Tasted: 18 October 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
