Famila Castano Casa C Cisca Monastrell 2011

Yecla, Valencia and Murcia, SpainExpect a beautiful aromatic nose with black cherries, liquorice, savoury, poultry spice and garrigue notes. The entry is delicate but only for a few seconds. The attack is dry, supple, fresh and powerful with peppery, blackberry, black cherry, vanilla, meaty, spicy black liquorice flavours. This a huge wine with big potential but it will require another decade to hit its stride. Cisca is made from 100 percent, ancient, dry-farmed, bush vine, mourvèdre that is a minimum 60 years old. A Spanish treasure.Tasted: 05 August 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
