The attack is elegant leaning toward the floral, spicy, minty dried herb spectrum. The attack is round and dry but with fairly substantial, fine-grained, chalky tannins. The palate is a mix of smoke, tobacco, pepper, blackberry, liquorice root with flecks of grilled meat and compost. A very fine rendition of the monastrell grape that will repay a decade of ageing if not more.
