Mark Haisma Gevrey Chambertin Croix des Champs 2009
Gevrey-Chambertin, Côtes de Nuits, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceRicher (than the 2010) with cherry jam, meaty, barnyard, compost nose with bits of liquorice, beet and vanilla aromas. The palate is round and elegant with carrot top, celery root, liquorice, vanilla, strawberry jam, pepper, cedar and barnyard flavours. Good finesse with just hint of astringency at the finish. Drinkable now with duck but should improve for 2-5 years with the light tannins. Well done.Tasted: 26 July 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $70.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
