Domaine du Dragon Cuvée Prestige Rosé 2012

Côtes de Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceThe Dragon Cuvée is made in the eastern Provence close to Cannes from old vines. The soil is unusually all chalk the blend is 30/34/12/16/8/ syrah/cinsault/mourvèdre/grenache/rolle or vermentino. The colour is a super pale salmon, barely noticeable. The attack is weighty with fresh strawberry, with flecks of orange peel and wet stone minerality. There is delicacy but with some power suggesting it can stand up to a variety of mid-weight foods. I'm thinking salmon, mussels, clams, a Cobb salad and more.Tasted: 26 May 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
