Gérard Bertrand Terroir Corbières Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre 2010

Corbières, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceCorbières is the largest appellation in the South of France at 32,400 acres planted. With sites that begin at the sea and stretch into hillsides Bertrand selects only the finest grapes for his 40/40/20 mix of syrah/grenache/mourvèdre. Expect a big meaty, blackberry jam, spicy, smoky nose with bits of orange peel, black raspberry, licorice and dried herb notes. The palate is fresh, slightly tannic and loaded with black raspberry jam, licorice root, pepper, resin, orange peel, chocolate and garrigue flavours. Good intensity and still immensely youthful. Serve this with roast lamb.Tasted: 07 April 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
