Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Blanc 2012
Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceTasted twice: November 2013 and March 2014 and still delicious. Spicy, honey, floral, ginger, peach, quince, vanilla, toasty, pineapple and passion fruit aromas. Ripe, round, rich and creamy but vibrant and juicy. Waxy, toasty lees, vanilla, honey, mango, citrus, ginger, grapefruit, clove and star fruit flavours. A bit warm on the finish but very good intensity and balance. A biodynamic success here. The mix is 70/20/10 chardonnay, viognier and sauvignon blanc, the latter sees only stainless steel. Impressive.
