Cervaro della Sala 2010
Umbria, ItalyCervaro takes its name from the Monaldeschi Della Cervara family which owned the Castello della Sala in the 14th century. Antinori acquired the property in 1940 and the first vintage of Cervaro della Sala was in 1985. 2010 was a cool vintage providing perfect conditions to highlight the stony, mineral fresh character of Cervaro. As seen at a recent vertical back to 1985 this wine can easily age a decade. Quince butter lime and grapefruit all come together with a framework of oak in this 90/10 blend of chardonnay/grechetto. Try it with squash ravioli, or mushroom risotto.Tasted: 09 March 2013Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $66.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Mark Anthony Brands |
