Stags' Leap Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Napa Valley, California, United StatesEnticing white pepper, leather, prune, blackberry, liquorice nose with coffee, vanilla, roast meat and tobacco nuances. Dry, fresh, somewhat lean but elegant palate with still some gritty tannins to shed. Coffee, vanilla, smoky, licorice root, cassis, prune, peppery, tobacco and cedar flavours. Finish is a bit tart, cool and rustic but with concentration. Needs two to four years to soften but should be fine by then. Steaks anyone.Tasted: 05 February 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
