Matchbook Dunnigan Hills Syrah 2010
Dunnigan Hills, Yolo County, California, United StatesFragrant blueberry and spice nose with bits of mace, meat, smoke and cocoa. The palate is fresh with pronounced acidity and more red fruit flavours. This wine needs the taste of grilled meat to tame the acidity and over all wild notes. The syrah is mixed with 10 per cent cabernet sauvignon and aged 26 months in an assortment of European and American oak (22 percent new). A solid mid-week red.Tasted: 11 February 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
