Domaine Faiveley Corton Clos des Cortons Grand Cru (Monopole) 2011
Aloxe-Corton, Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceFaiveley is extremely proud of this wine in 2011 and they should be. The nose is pure magic with an aromatic fruit and spice combination that draws you into the glass. The attack is similarly enchanting with smooth, round, dense textures of black fruit and spice that spill across your palate form front to back and side to side. There are some youthful tannin to shed but its fine grained and simply supporting the rich delicious flavours packed in this wine. Well done and certainly a wine for the next decade or two.
