Van Westen Vineyards V 2009
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSavoury, pepper, cedar, black cherry, chocolate nose flecked with black olive and tobacco aromas. Rich, ripe, full, round palate but warm and still with some tannin to shed. Coffee, chocolate, prune, black cherry jam, cedar, vanilla and sage flavours with a bit of clove and ginger. Needs several years to round out but has lots of fruit and intensity.
