Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2005
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceWow this wine is really looking good at the moment. It's just starting to open up and show its real worth. Expect a warm soft silky texture with plenty of ripe juicy fruit. The flavours are mix of garrigue black fruits dried herbs and raisins with flecked of chocolate throughout. There is still plenty of tannin but it is very well balanced and as I say fun to look at right now at seven years old. Small amounts are being shipped into private wine shops in Vancouver.Tasted: 07 December 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $130.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
