Van Westen Vineyards Vulture 2009
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA re-taste of this wine a year on shows improvement in a minimally-sulphited pure cabernet franc that has really expanded in bottle. Look for a sage, curry spicy, smoky, and cranberry, tobacco nose flecked with pepper, vanilla, cedar, floral, chocolate aromas. It has a dry, full, fresh, juicy palate with some young tannins and cranberry, plum, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, floral, vanilla, chocolate, poultry spice and liquorice flavours. Good finesse and concentration but still needs 2-3 years to fully mature and be the red wine it can.Tasted: 15 October 2012Tasted by: Prices: BC 50.00 estimated retail Producer: Van Westen VineyardsDistributors: Winery DirectGrape: Cabernet FrancUPC: 00626990120797
