CrossBarn by Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Napa Valley, California, United StatesCrossBarn is night-harvested before the skins spend 20 days in contact with the juice. The oak is a mix of French and American but only 23 percent of the barrels are new; total time in wood is 18 months. The fruit is Napa yet restrained. Expect expressive black fruit aromas and flavours flecked with cloves and dark chocolate and barnyard notes. The textures are round and smooth, the tannins youthful but slippery. You will love its the supple cassis jam, blackberry, coffee, chocolate, vanilla flavours. Serve now with grilled meats or cellars through 2016.Tasted: 04 September 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
