Jim Barry The McRae Wood Shiraz 2006
Clare Valley, South Australia, AustraliaA wonderful year has yielded an amazing edition of McRae Wood replete with fabulous texture and intense cedar minty blueberry, black plum fruit. The mid-palate is awash in dense dark spicy fruit flecked with smoky tobacco and dried herbs and a wallop of new oak. A hedonistic, glossy red that should easily age twenty years in bottle but you could enjoy it today with a grilled butterflied leg of lamb on the barbecue.Tasted: 14 July 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:NS | $62.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
