Jim Barry The McRae Wood Shiraz 2005
Clare Valley, South Australia, AustraliaTexture rules the roost here. Rich full-bodied, ripe and concentrated this is quintessential Clare shiraz. Plums black fruits, mint, spice and red berries assault the senses but there is a beautiful floral undertone with a whiff of espresso in the back end. The wine spend 15 month in American oak of which one third is new. A plush, showy, glossy shiraz that is well worth the money.Tasted: 13 September 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $57.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
