Haywire Pinot Gris Switchback Vineyard Clone 52 2011

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2011 Switchback gris clone 52 offers more concentration flavour as the vineyard rounds into shape. What we like about this wine is it tastes less like pinot gris and more like white wine made in a northern climate that is Summerland. Farmed sustainably and heading toward full organic and possibly biodynamic standards the acidity is off-the-charts delicious with a restrained nectarine skin, citrus melon fruit aromas and flavours that do not overpower. Oysters, seafood, heirloom tomato salads, it all works.Tasted: 13 July 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
