Stags' Leap Petite Sirah 2008

Napa Valley, California, United StatesStags' Leap is perhaps best known for its Petite Sirah, which comes from a handful of very old vines on the estate and from other sites in the northern part of the valley. The attack is smooth and generous with plenty of sweet concentrated blackberry fruit and dark peppery, raspberry chocolate flavours. There are also small bits of syrah, grenache and mourvèdre to add complexity and balance to the blend. Big bold and delicious. Try it with lamb dishes to best effect.Tasted: 21 May 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
