Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel 2009
Sonoma County, California, United StatesFasten your seatbelt this 74/23/6 blend of zinfandel, petite syrah and carignane from the ancient Lytton Springs property in Sonoma County. The blend is aged some 14 months in American oak of which only 18 percent is new, the rest a mix of one, two and three year old wood. The nose is rich and open black fruit, vanilla clove and black liquorice barnyard notes. The palate is similar with dark fruits, black raspberry, fine intensity and length flecked with dried herbs. A great match for a leg of lamb or roast beef. Tasted: 08 April 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $50.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
