Joseph Drouhin Beaune Premier Cru 2009
Beaune, Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceOpen spicy, tobacco, strawberry nose with cedar, sausage meat, barnyard and liquorice aromas. The attack is dry, the palate supple with fresh, juicy acidity. Peppery, smoky, tobacco, carrot top, meaty, celery seed notes dominate the nose with strawberry, vanilla and medicinal flavours throughout. Good texture and balance if a little bit rustic is style. Drink now or over the next three years.Tasted: 18 February 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $47.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
