Greywacke Chardonnay 2009

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandOpen floral, citrus, honey, baked green apple, pear, nutty lees nose with bits of spice and butterscotch. Ripe, round, rich, creamy palate with a touch of warmth and sweetness. A similar attack with vanilla, spicy, nutty, light garlic, honey, butter, baked pear and guava flavours. Good intensity showing some tropical notes and a lot of lees character from the wild yeast. Drink now and over the next year or so. Made in a riper, Burgundian style.Tasted: 06 January 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
