Anciano Gran Reserva Tempranillo Aged 7 Years 2002

Valdepeñas, Castilla-La Mancha, SpainSpicy, black olive, garrigue, resin, roast meat, saddle leather, prune, earthy, almond, black cherry and barnyard aromas. Round, dry, supple and smooth palate with good acidity. Black cherry, prune, meaty, leather, tobacco, licorice, savoury, light Band-Aid, and resin flavours. A very solid, balanced tempranillo style with light tannins that shows a bit of both newer and traditional winemaking in the area. Drink now and over the next five years. Unbelievable value.Tasted: 05 March 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
