Blue Mountain Brut Rosé 2006
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Blue Mountain Rosé Brut is a kinder gentler bubble than the blanc brut, actually rounder and softer would be the description. The mousse is tight and round but the palate is richer with bits of strawberry and red fruit notes mixed with citrus and lees. There just enough bottle age here to lend another layer of complexity. Not as dry as the other brut whites but tasty and firm. Serve with food. The mix is 65 pinot noir and 35 per cent chardonnay.Tasted: 06 February 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
