Errazuriz Max Reserva Syrah (Shiraz) 2008
Valle de Aconcagua, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThe fruit in the Max Reserva Shiraz comes off the Don Maximiano and Ocoa Vineyards in the Valle de Aconcagua. The '08 vintage was cool perhaps further strengthening the Rhone style of this wine despite its shiraz moniker. The wine is aged twelve months in a /60 mix of American and French oak barrels of which 35 per cent are new. The colour is bright, the oak showy but helpful at this point, with spicy clove and cinnamon notes on the nose. The palate round and supple with juicy black fruit flavours and a dry finish.
